I painted this Gingerbread House for the Watercolour Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Stacy is our hostess today and she has asked we watch this video.
This is a fun Gingerbread House, very different from ones that I have done in the past. Great fun to do so I am sending many thanks to Stacy.
I changed the colour going around the Gingerbread House as I was not fussed on the blue. I painted using Daneil Smith Opera Pink.
In place of the red I used Quinacridone Pink and on the white areas I used Dr Ph Martin Bleedproof white watercolour.
I added the shadow and splatters using Dioxozine Violet, which I also used going up and around where the circles are.
The other colours used are Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna, adding several layers to get the rich dark colours.
This was a fun Gingerbread house to paint having a very different look. I hope you have enjoyed the watercolour, and wish to thank you for visiting.
