Valentine Hugs and Kisses

 Something a little different to share with you today. I saw this technique done on the Simon Says Stamp blog and thought I would give it a try. 

I die cut my hearts using Neenah 110lb cardstock then covered them with embossing powders in red, silver and white. I then laid down parchment paper over the top and very close to them heated until the powder was melting, then tapped them ever so slightly getting the movement. When you peel off the parchment some remains on it, and that is what I used to die cut the second smaller heart. In my Misti I stamped my sentiment on the rectangle die and attached using foam tape, then attached the big heart on foam tape, and the little delicate heart on foam dots and gluing it to the larger hearts. I have to say, I had a lot of fun today ... now I need to get some housework done.

Behind the scenes, I did the technique my way as I did not have available things the lady who demoed it had. I used a board under my work, and dollar store parchment paper to lay under my work and on top of the work. I cleaned up the paper before heating so no specks were laying about then did the heating with my heat gun very close to the work.

 And this is the parchment paper from the dollar store I used, a piece on the bottom and a piece over the top along with the board so I would not burn anything underneath as you are close to the work.
