Bird on Fence

This is "Bird on Fence".

I did this watercolour painting for the Inpsiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. We are visiting de Winton Paper Co.
I used this bird for inspiration, painting this bird on fence with leaves climbing up the fence. I used Daniel Smith watercolours to paint this scene.

The leaves are Green Apatite Genuine. The bird has several colours, being Raw Umber, Jane's Grey, Chromium Cerulean Blue, Hansa Yellow, Burnt Sienna and Quinacridone Burnt Orange.
Once all was dry I added splatters using the Chromium Cerulean Blue and set the piece aside to dry completely.

The watercolour paper I used for this piece is Tim Holtz distress watercolour cardstock, and my brushes are Escoda.
This is a loose design which I find is fun and easy to paint. This is a Penny Black stamp, which I did not know when my friend sent it to me. I later saw the design while perusing a site, and updated my post.

I hope you have enjoyed this piece as well.
Thank you for you visit today.

See you next time.
