Hoppy Easter

Meet "Hoppy Easter".

It has been a while since I have made a slimline card, so I thought this Easter card would make a fun slimline.

As most are aware, the finished size of a slimline is 3.5 x 8.5.
I do adore this little stamp by Lawn Fawn, and thought I would do this card using watercolours. The easiest way for me to do that is to use my Daniel Smith Ultimate Mixing Set, which has 15 half pans included in the set.

I often reach for this set as it is compact and does not take up the room on my desk that my full palette set does, and the colours are perfection!
This is a picture of my set with the names written in along with the transparency information.

Why it is called the Ultimate Mixing Set is because each of these colours when mixed together will make another colour that is not part of the set. i.e. Hansa Yellow Medium mixed with Ultramarine Blue makes a beautiful green, which is the green I used on my background.
For the stencil background I used A Colorful Life 6x6 stencil, moving it to complete the 8.25 section. The colours I used for the bunny background are a watered down Ultramarine Blue, Hansa Yellow Med., Pyrrol Scarlett, Quinacridone Rose.

The bunny is also done using the watered down Ultramarine Blue.
For the Lawn Fawn Bunny I stamped using Memento London Fog. The Hoppy background is stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Glamorous, as is the Easter!

The carrot is Phathalo Green (B.S.) for the top and watered down Pyrrol Scarlett, the Egg is Quinacridone Rose.
The background also has splatters using a few of the colours from the paint set plus a white watercolour and is attached using foam tape, as is the bunny.

I hope you have enjoyed this card today. I am my calmest when I get to watercolour my way, meaning not via a video, just me and the paints.
