Now that I have taken care of business, it is time to move on to the card I made for today's hop.

I am using My Favorite Things stamps, dies and stencils for this card. I started by die cutting the wonky rectangle panel, doing one for the front of the card and one for the inside. Using Distress Oxide inks I then blended colours for my background, using Fossilized Amber, Broken China, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch. Once I was happy with the blending, I went over the panel with        , buffing it to a satin finish. I then applied the snow flurries with the stencil and glimmer paste, leaving some areas empty.
I stamped the stamp images with Memento ink and coloured with Copics. I added Wink of Stella to Santa's beard and the fur trims on his suit, along with white acrylic paint for highlights on the suit and on the reindeer's blankets. The glimmer paste dries relatively quickly, so once it was ready I attached the reindeer, one with glue, and the others with foam squares, using both regular and thin.
I then moved on to the inside where I did another distress oxide blending panel, only this time I used the fossilized amber on the Ho Ho Ho, and splattered water on the panel to represent the snow.
I then added Wink of Stella to the Ho Ho Ho letters for some sparkle on the inside, which is hard to see in the photo but it looks great.

I hope you have enjoyed this card. Next up on the hop is Laurie.
