Kinsai refers to the techniques used to apply gold lear or gold paint to ceramics. This technique is what I tried to duplicate with this card.
I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com today. My inspiration for this card comes from the Kinsai design found here.
For the background I used Spellbinders "Scribbled Letter" embossing folder, were I applid Pinkfresh Ink in Meadow.
I then stamped and coloured the Magnolia flowers using Copic markers in Y15 and Y18.
I fussy cut the flowers out seeing as I did not have the dies for the flowers. To attach the flowers in place I used foam strips.
I also stamped and fussy cut the bird to add to the arrangement.
Moving to the inside of the card I attached a piece of the embossed folder to the bottom portion of the card, then stamped the sentiment in place using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card today.
See you next time.
