Meet "Poinsettia and Holly".
This is one of my favourite Poinsettia dies hence I was looking foward to using it today, for the first of December, somehow it seems fitting.
To colour the Poinsettia I used a dark red, being Copic R46 and applied using a flick motion. So, some areas are lighter than others.
For the leaves I used two colours, being YG09 and YG25. For the Holly on the card front I used G85 for colour along with the R46 which is on the berries.
The background holly leaves and berries I did with a 8x8 embossing folder. It is large yes, but the folder fits in my machine which is an Anna Griffin Empress machine.
That folder gave me the pretty Holly background that I used for my card. It is a no name folder per say, meaning it is from Amazon.ca and it works perfectly for what I wanted.
For the sentiment I used stamps and dies from Merry Christmas Holiday Wishes, which is an older stamp set from my collection.
To the top of the card on an angle I added the Merry Christmas sentiment which is propped up on foam strips for added dimension.
Inside the card I added a piece of the Holly card along with the sentiment which is stamped using Pinkfresh Ink in Candy Apple red.
Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.
See you next time.
