Poppies

 

Meet "Poppies".

I love this design of Poppies by Betterpress. For some reason I felt the need to use some different colours, being Pinkfresh Inks in the Turquoise colours.

The Pinkfresh inks are Atlantis, Paradise, Turquoise and Waterfall. The greens are Grassy Knoll and Evergreen.

I ran the press plate through using the Atlantis Ink, which I did twice due to the dark colour. I could have done it a third time as well, the dark colour was calling for more!

Once I finished with the press plate I cut the front of my card from the image and glued the piece to the front of my card using Art Glitter glue.

For the inside I photocopied the original piece to use inside. The reason for that is this takes a lot of ink to print, whereas a copy takes next to nothing as I am only printing part of the image for the inside.

In looking at the card I can see I failed to mention that I used a Copic marker to colour the flower centres, being Y15.

For the sentiments I used Pinkfresh Heart Smiles stamps and dies. I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card.

For the front of the card I stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and die cut the sentiment out attaching it using foam strips to the card front.
