This is "Birdie Birthday".
It has been a very long time since I have used these stamps by Tim Holtz and I needed birthday cards for some young teens so it was time to get these stamps out and make something fun.
The background embossing folder is Rosette Burst which is a Club folder by Spellbinders. I love the texture this folder has.
For colours on the embossed background I used Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade and Peacock Feathers distress oxide inks.
To the card front I added one of the birds from the "Bird Crazy" set which I coloured using B05 then I fussy cut him out. I also stamped the hearts from the "Crazy Things" stamp set and coloured with R46 and fussy cut.
Using foam squares I attaached the bird and the hearts to the card front. I stamped the hat, and coloured using R46 and Y13 and attached it to the card front using foam squares.
For the eyes I coloured using the Y13 and I used YR04 on the beak.
For the inside of the card I added a half page of the embossing folder piece of card which I added the same colours to which I attached to a full piece of card.
My card base is Neenah, and my paper of choice for using on the cover of my cards and the inside is Hammermill cardstock.
I added the present to the inside, and will add a sentiment when the new ones I ordered arrive. This card is for a girl teen.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I appreciate your time.
See you next time.
