This is "Guiding Light".
I previously made a card using these stamps, but not the dies. Today I have used the dies, and changed the scene a bit and added the background for extra texture.
First I added a background attached to the entire card where I used Plaster embossing folder and three colours, being Ocean Breeze, Ballet Slipper and Sunshine.
I then began the second layer showing the lighthouse scene. For this I used Copics in C3, C4, C5, C7; B28: Y08: YG63, G94; YG17; E18 and R37.
I coloured in the water with the B28 marker which is the brighter blue. The day is a breezy day so the water is not calm.
I stamped the sentiments using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, and on the front of the card I attached the sentiment to the cloud. For the inside I stamped the sentiment in my mini Misti on the blue background paper.
The fence is attached to the card using foam strips which I cut in half so they would not show on the front of the card.
The other pieces are also attached using foam strips. I also added Birds flying in the background to the scene.
Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.
See you next time.
The lighthouse scene is absolutely captivating—there’s a real sense of movement and atmosphere in the way you brought the breezy day to life. The textured background using Plaster embossing with Ocean Breeze, Ballet Slipper, and Sunshine gives the perfect subtle contrast without overpowering the focal point. I especially admire how the sentiment tucked into the cloud adds a whimsical, yet heartfelt touch. Every detail feels so intentional and thoughtfully placed.
