Birds of a Feather

Meet "Birds of a Feather".

I had a friend over yesterday and we each made a card using this die set, called "Pretty Birds" by Spellbinders. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun!

First I die cut the shaped card using Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Labels to cut the card shape from Neenah cardstock, along with the designer papers I used.

The birds were die cut using papers in the required colours, i.e. the turqoise and green shades of cardstock.

I die cut all the necessary elements need for the card, but then we ran into a problem. You may have noticed the birds feet are a bit unusual.

Well, that is because these are not the correct dies! Yep, we messed up big time! But we moved forward because at this point there was nothing we could do. The Art Glitter glue is very strong!

We continued gluing everything in place using mini foam squares to attach the pieces to the card front to lift the swing and flowers.

Moving to the inside of the card I yet again used my favourite sentiment for bird cards, which I just cannot get enough of! I know, it is time to find another sentiment!

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I do hope you tweet this card.

See you next time.

  1. This card is a delightful burst of personality—those vibrant turquoise and green birds are such a cheerful pair! The layered swing and flowers add a playful sense of depth, and even the mix-up with the bird feet adds an endearing charm to the story behind it. The mirrored arch shape frames everything so elegantly, and your go-to sentiment on the inside feels like a warm signature—like a little wink to those who know your style. Love how this one came together with heart and humor.
