It is Wednesday, and time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. I am hostess today and have picked this loose Peony tutoral for our challenge today.
I notice in the picture I took that the blue I have on the bottom of the jar is very faint, and does not show up well, yet in real life it is perfect! lol
My colours are the same as the artist used minus the burnt sienna and cadmium orange, which I felt did not fit with the painting, and she never mentioned adding them.
I did use the alizarin crimson colour as my final colour added to the painting.
I painted the flat surface using the french ultramarine blue , and added some permanent rose in the bottom right side of if the painting representing the shadow.
Yes, my blue is a tad too dark, but I think it still works. I did enjoy doing this painting and hope you have enjoyed it as well.
