It is time for Watercolour Wednesday and this week we are watching a video by Olga Koelsch which can be found here.
I freehand drew the petals which I already knew was much harder than it looks. Some of the leaves I painted in. In any event, I worked at it, and tomorrow I will work at it again.
My colours as I mentioned are Winsor Newton watercolours in Cadmium Red Deep, Olive Green, and Deep Sap Green.
To get the transparency I watered down the Cadmium Red Deep quite a bit, until I got a very light pinkish colour. The sentiment is from A Colorful Life Design called Spread Love.
I added gold drops and highlights using metallic watercolours from a set I have.
