Floral Arches

Meet "Floral Arch".

I love this pattern of arches by Pinkfresh Studio. But, stenciling was challenging for me and I don't know why. I need to try this again, and hopefully not have a problem next time round.
To start this card I foiled the Geo Arch using Gemini gold foil and my Gemini Jr. foiling press, which combines with my Gemini Jr.

For my stenciling I used Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio, which I love together.
This was also the first time I have used my new waxing material, which was a lot of fun to do. I wanted my first impression to be a bird, and I found one on Amazon in Canada, not found on Amazon.com.

For the waxing I used the Spellbinders Wax Kit, which has everything that you will need, including to start a project straight away. I opted to use white wax for my card.
For the Twine die I die cut using Neenah cardstock then place the die cut piece on my glass surface and went over it several times with the Delicata Gold Glitz ink.

I then die cut the pieces I wanted to use from the Sizzix Holiday Brush set, and sponged on a mix of the inks I used on the card, along with using a pink Sakura glitter pen to colour the flowers.
For the bird I used a Sharpie permanent marker to colour. I have rubbed it to see if it comes off, and it is holding, which was a happy surprise!

On the inside of the card I used the stencil upside down and applied twisted citron oxide ink to the arches only. It look great!

This card took me a bit longer than I thought, but it sure is pretty. I need to try it again, and be more careful with my stencil work next time.
