Bear Hugs

"Meet "Bear Hugs".

Another adorable stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps of the same name. This is certainly another fun stamp to colour, especially if you want to keep the colouring to a minimum.
I wanted a bold background for my white bear, so I started this card using Neenah cardstock and  sponging on Mowed Lawn, then adding Rustic Wilderness around the edges of both of the the panels, for the front and the panel for the inside of the card.

I then let the background dry moving on to other things. Once dry I embossed both panels using my Sizzix embossing folder called Winter Foliage. To add interest I ran my white pigment ink pad over the top of the panel, which added the hints of white.
In my mini Misti I stamped the Bear using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black as I was colouring using Copic markers.

For the colours I used Copic markers in G43 and G24 for the lights; YR18 and YR02 for the scarf; and YR02 for the ears with Y19 for the Star. Did you notice my goof up - kept colouring the scarf up the bears right side. 😞
To make the sentiment stand out I applied Rustic Wilderness to a strip of cardstock. In my mini Misti using VersaMark embossing ink, I stamped the sentiments (outside and inside), then heat embossed both using white embossing powder.

One of the things I love most about Honey Bee stamps is the dies for the sentiments. Love this, so neat and clean looking. I used the dies on both of the sentiments. I attached the one to the card front using foam strips.
The sentiment for the inside I glued in place using Art Glitter adhesive.

Finishing up I added a few sequins and the Bear face from Picket Fence Studios. Love these darling accessories.
