This is "Hanging Out".
Are you ready for Halloween ~ these guys are! So beware! As most of you know I love colour, and in order to use all of the bats in this set, plus some repeats I decided a rainbow would work perfctly. And you know how much I love a rainbow!
I started this card first with the stencil work for the background. Using the Lawn Fawn stencil I added Hickory Smoke Oxide around the edges, then added clouds with the Tumbled Glass Oxide ink.
Using A Colorful Life Design Paint Stroke stencil I added the rainbow colours with distress oxide inks in Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet and Kitsch Flamingo.
Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink I stamped all the pieces I would be using and proceeded to colour using Copic markers as follows:
R29, R27, RV29; YR07, YR68, YR07; Y13, Y15, Y18; YG07, YG09, YG06; B14, B12, B02; V09, V17, BV02; RV06, RV04, RV02; Branches E37, E35, E33 AND YG07, YG09; Spider C3, C5, C7; Pumpkin YR18, YR09.
I splattered the background with water using the nozzle of my spray container and patted dry with paper towel. I then attached the critters by colour using foam squares.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.
I probably do not have to say I had a good time, I think it shows. I did the inside using the paint strokes stencil, added a bat on the orange colour along with the small tree branch and stamped using Have a Fangtastic Day. I then added highlights with my white gel pen.
