Creepy-Crawly

Introducing Creepy Crawly!

It is almost time for Halloween, time to get the cards ready. I did this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Our site for today's challenge is Party City and my inspiration can be seen here.
For my design today I decided to glam up the ghost with a spider necklace! I love how it turned out, the necklace even has gold googly eyes.

To start my card, in my mini Misti I stamped the ghost using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. At the same time I stamped the spiders from Impression Obsession with the same ink.

I then die cut the Impression Obsession spiders with the coordinating dies. I also die cut the front panel from the designer paper using my Wonky Stitched rectabgle die, and die cut the ghost using my stitched circles die.
To the ghost face I sponged on hickory smoke distress ink, then styled the face before attaching foam squares to the back, doubling up on the square in the centre, which helps to keep the shape.

I then added the spiders, also using foam squares.
On a separate smaller piece of the designer card I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark embossing ink and heat embossed using Bruno Monroe embossing powder, attaching it to the card front using foam strips.

I then added the Metallic Pearls on the eyes of the ghost as well as the eyes of the spiders using Nuvo adhesive.
To finish up I applied Nuvo Shimmer Pen to the ghosts eyes, along with the bodies of the spiders, which is awesome in real life.

I hope you have enjoyed this card today. I certainly enjoyed making it, having a giggle as I went along.

  1. Kia, I love this! You put so much time and detail in every one of your cards and it shows. Halloween is my favorite card making time of the year. After seeing this card, I have to copy it! Thanks for all the inspiration from your blog.
