Floral Faux Batik

Welcome to "Floral Faux Batik".

I found this technique on youTube presented by Lydia Fiedler and wanted to give it a go. Crafting again with my friend Joyce, we each picked a colour and away we went.
This is my card, where I used Peacock Feathers with the white crayon. I was pressing hard, but I did not have as much luck as Joyce did with her pink card.

We both used the same stencil, being Batik Squares by A Colorful Life Design.
And a white crayon was used. I went with this beautiful die cut by Sizzix called Flower Field, which is attached using foam strips. The die cut was stacked twice, being glued together using Nuvo Adhesive.

Joyce's card is done in Kitsh Flamingo, and came out very well.
I cannot explain why there was a difference, but I will say I like both cards and their look.

Joyce also went with Sizzix Wildflower Stems 2 dies cutting in white and stacking 3 times then bunching the stems together along with an old sentiment saying "Enjoy".
She also added a few gems to finish her card. Each of us stamped a sentiment on the inside of our respective cards.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed these cards. Following are Affiliate links for the products used for both of the cards.
