Meet "Do What You Love".
This card I made for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. We are visiting a site called Minted. You can also view Minted via their Pinterest Boards.
My inspiration came from this placemat. I kept with the floral theme and colours, using a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Fairy Flowers. My card today is a mini slimline design.
On a piece of Arches cold press watercolour paper I arranged the flower where I wanted it. Using a small sponge I added a bit of water to the stencil area, then put down some distress oxide ink in Kitsh Flamingo on my work space and picked it up with a baby wipe applying it over the stencil.
Following the same proceedure for each flower and using different colours, I added the three florals. I then added the stems to each of the flowers.
Using the colours from the flowers I added splatters.
Once everything was dry I added the gems to the three flower centres. I then matted the piece using Gina K Design Ocean Mist cardstock and attached it to a Gina K Design Red Velvet cardbase.
To finish up I added the sentiment from Tim Holtz Label stickers "Thoughts".
