Daisy Bed

Introducing "Daisy Bed".

This is a new to me Altenew embossing folder, which I just love of course! I received it yesterday, and today I could not wait to use it.
This card I have done for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. We are visiting a wonderful site called Carson Dellosa, which is a educational site. My card inspiration came from the bulletin board below.
Using Neenah 110lb. card stock I cut a piece just slightly smaller than an A2 card. I then spritzed both sides of the cardstock before running it through my Gemini Jr. with the embossing plates.
I decided I would use Copic markers to colour these Daisies, something I have never done before, so I wanted to try it out.

The colours came from the flowers shown at the top of the Bulletine Board that I picked for inspiration and are the colours of the rainbow.
 The first yellow being Y11, Y13, Y15; beside it the red being R29, R27, R35; then green which is YG05, YG06, YG07; the orange at far right R27, YR07, YR04; orange at left side which is YR07, YR05, YR04; the turquoise, being BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09, followed by the darker blue B32, B24, B29; Violet V12, V15, V17; and another red R05, R08, R17. The flower centre is Y08 with Y11.

I then did the background using a Sharpie pen in a dark green as the nib fit perfectly in the smaller spaces.
To finish my card in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white card using VersaFine Clair ink in Purple Delight, a beautiful colour.

Thank you for dropping by today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card at no extra cost to you. I thank you for your support.

  1. Wow! I’m contemplating ordering this embossing folder and I think I may have just been convinced to go ahead. The bold colours are stunning and I love how you did a dark background. Just beautiful.
