Merry Mice

This is "Merry Mice".

My friend Joyce and I played again yesterday using this set from Honey Bee Stamps called Merry Little Mice, which is a fabulous set with 24 different stamps.

I started off with heat embossing the front of my card base using the Poinsettia rubber stamp from Impression Obsession along with Nuvo snow crystal embossing powder.
This is the card I did, using the Christmas Tree as my focal with the little mice who are singing to the music of Christmas.

I used Copic markers to colour as follows:
Tree - G20, G24, G28; Trunk - E29, E35; Christmas Bulbs - R35 and R59 along with B32, B24, B28; Star - Y11, Y15; Mice - C3, C5, C7 and R20 for ears;  Candy Cane - R35, R59, C3 for shading. Inside card chees is Y38, Y17.
To finish off I stamped the inside panel using Oxide ink in Speckled Egg and attached the two mice along with the cheese with Nuvo adhesive.

Moving on to Joyce's card.
The colours were kept basically the same. The difference is the colouring technique Joyce uses along with the layout.

Joyce arranged her card with the tree, presents, cheese and the candy cane mouse creating this happy scene.
Her colouring is lighter than my colouring which I really do love. She kept her christmas bulb decorations in the blues, along with the ribbons on her packages. Super cute!

The inside of her card she has the musical mice singing away, along with the musical notes.
The person writing this post, (um me!) forgot to order the sentiment stamp, hence I have just done that today - oops! I have included the stamp in the shopping list below however, as it is perfect for this set.
