Thinking of you

"Thinking of you"

It is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. Today we are visiting with Sandy Allnock, watching her video on Creating Interesting Blends Wet in Wet.
As in the video, I taped down my Arches Cold Press watercolour paper to my workspace using Protape. Using my 1 inch flat paint brush I added water to the paper ensuring I applied it evenly.

To pick up my colour I used my #12 Escoda paint brush, applying the colour as evenly as possible and as thick as possible.
Honestly I kept my fingers crossed as I was putting down the colour, hoping that it would not blend together, which ended up being pretty good.

I am not at all fussed on the French Ultramarine Blue, a rather dull blue I think.
I allowed the piece to dry naturally, then in my mini Misti I stamped the Penny Black stamp "Into the Sky" using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne Ink.

I also stamped the sentiment using the same ink, and die cut it with the coordinating die.
To finish up I attached the piece to black cardstock using foam tape. I then attached the sentiment piece using foam strips.

Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
