Cheer

Meet "Cheer".

I am back today with another card using A Colorful Life stencil called "Different Spots", this time using the Stencil Monoprint technique.
For my colours I used Distress Oxide inks in Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade and Salvaged Patina. I was careful using these colours as there could be some mud happening if not careful. But I love the look of these colours together.

The design is done on the card front, and lightly for the card inside.
I allowed the cardstock pieces to dry completely before I continued. I also was sure the keep the cardstock flat while it dried, which makes it easier to attach when it comes time to do so.

For the front I used foam tape to attach the panel to my Neenah card base and on the inside I used Scor-pal tape, which is a strong tape.
Using Honey Bee Stamps "Cheer" buzzwords die I cut out vellum paper in 40lb. and attached it to my panel using Vellum tape.

I made a puddle of Salvaged Patina oxide ink, and die cut the "cheer" word from Neenah card, then dragged it through the ink, setting it aside to dry.
Once the "cheer" word was dry using Glossy accents I dotted the back of the word. I then waited a bit allowing the glossy accents to set up a bit before attaching the word to the vellum piece.

This keeps the word lifted off the vellum a tad and I really like the look. In doing this technique I find it best to use a good quality cardstock and use only one piece, otherwise the word gets too heavy for the glue.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed my card for today.
