Love you to pieces

Let me introduce "Love you to pieces".

This award-winning Camellia x williamsii 'E.G. Waterhouse is a stunning beautiful pink flower with blooms that are 4" wide. It has also won the prestigous National Camellia Hall of Fame award.
I am using Arches cold press 140lb watercolour paper for my top card panel, stamping with VersaMark embossing ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

For my first time in watercolouring this Camellia I decided I would use Daniel Smith watercolours. The Camellia is painted with Opera Pink in varying shades of the same colour. There are several layers of the pink. Once I finished with the Opera Pink I added in some white watercolour on some of the petals, then splattered with a small amount of the white, representing the variagated flower petals.

For the leaves I did a base layer of Sap Green, then added in Green Apatite for the rich dark colour of the leaves of this shrub.

To finish up I went around the leaves and flowers using Manganese Blue, blending out with the colour. While still damp I splattered with Midas Touch shimmering pen.

Once dry, I added a pink matting, then attached it to my white card base using Nuvo adhesive.

In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink.

I love how this card turned out, and I hope you all enjoy it as well. Following are Affiliate links for the products used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
