Happy Bunny Egg

Meet "Happy Bunny Egg".

It is time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. I am hosting today's challenge, which can be found at James Street Home Decor. I have picked this soap dish for my inspiration piece.
I wanted to replicate the soap dish which I did using the Impression Obsession bunny ears stamp along with Kuretake Zig clean color pens for colour.

I drew out the dish after stamping the bunny ears on white cardstock. Using my stylist I shaped the cardstock to turn up at the sides and botom.

In my mini Misti I stamped the kraft card using white pigment ink, attaching inside soap dish with foam tape, then wrapping the twine around the piece.
I then die cut the egg, and coloured using distress ink in Cracked Pistachio and Rustic Wilderness along with Antique Linen, and again wrapped the egg using the jute.

On the card base I stenciled the using the burlap stencil and cracked pistachio ink. When all was done, I attached the egg to the soap dish using foam tape.

Do you notice how by turning the card towards the window the white stamping has dissappeared on the top of the kraft card?
The card is turned away from the window in this picture, and clearley shows the white pigment ink stamping.

I did consider gems, but as I was making this card for a guy, I thought better of that, There are some guys that like the bling, then some who don't. Oh well!
It is the disappearing ink act for my last picture. I like how the jute is fraying, and will get more fraying by playing with the knot, which I will do.

This is a different card for me to make, somewhat like mixed media, but not quite there. Still it was fun to take myself out of my comfort zone, and I hope it was fun for you as well.

Thank you for joining me. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
