Fancy Trio

Let me introduce you to the "Fancy Trio".

Three cards that I made using one die from Pink and Main, a die that I have had for a bit, but today is the first time it saw any love.

It all started with this card where I die cut the floral cover die using Fabriano hot press watercolour paper. I decided I would get a bit artsy with the die so I did a watercolour background using distress inks.Using a fair amount of water I liberally applied the colours of mustard seed, mowed lawn and rustic wilderness around the outside of my 4.25 x 5.5 pice of watercolour paper.

Once those colours were almost draw I smoothed the inner edges for the pink colours, applying in a circular motion. I let the paper dry and added splatters using all of the colours along with white ink from my Posca pen.

To finish this card I attached the die cut floral fram to the background and finished with the sentiment as well as finishing the inside of the card.
Moving on I got out my gel press and inked it up with rainbow colours. The is the negative from several prints that I took using this die.

The sentiment is from the Bo Bunny set linked below. I also used the postive gel print on the inside of the card.
I love how this turned out, with all the different colours moving around the card. The sentiment is stamped using VersaFine Clair in Glamorous, which I love against the background.

And my last card is the postive from the above card. I wanted the inks to be bold, hence did not blend a lot with the brayer.
The lines from the inks don't bother me, I think they add interest to the card.

In keeping the card clean I stamped the sentiment from Penny Black using VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise. I love how the sentiment is in line with the background.
For the inside I used the negative of the print, with the bold bright colours.

All of these cards were very easy to make and lots of fun too. I hope you have enjoyed them as well, and thank you for your visit today.
