Smile

Meet "Smile".

This card came about as I received some new embossing folders and I wanted to play of course! I decided to use my new Quilted folder from Tim Holtz along with my gelli press.

I inked up the gelli press with peacock feathers oxide ink, then pressed the embossing folder into the inks, using the embossing side with the print on it, and holding it for a bit to ensure the ink transfer.
I then trimmed up the piece and attached it to my card base.

Next up using a piece of bubble wrap, with small bubbles I inked up the wrap using cracked pistachio, peacock feathers and chipped sapphire oxide inks and applied it to my piece of card cut to 3.25 x 4.5.
I attached the card piece to my card base using foam tape.

I then did the same technique for the inside of the card, except I used the opposite side of the embossing folder to ink up on my gel press, which applies more ink. I then die cut the piece for the inside of my card.
I will wait before stamping a sentiment as I am not sure what I will use the card for.

For the flower die cut, I cut three pieces from white card stock. I glued two of the white pieces together, then on the third I applied a heavy layer of chipped sapphire distress ink and when finished glued it to the white cuts followed by glueing to the card base.
For a bit of sparkle I added some Studio Katia gems to the bottom of the flower cup and stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Blue Belle.

Another fun card to make using more techniques done on my gelli press.
