Gnome Love

Hello - this is "Gnome Love".

I am the culprit for this card as I fell in love with this stamp the first time I saw it, and it was a have to have. I love it so much that I made this card for me! lol
To colour I used Copic markers as follows:
Heart flowers R20, R43, R35; Hat R20, R43, R35 and R29; Patches V12, V15 and V17; Nose E50, E51, E11 and E93; Leaves YG06 and YG09; Beard C3, C5, C7 and C9; Shoes C5, C7, C9 and BV04.

I then ran the image through my Scan'n Cut to fussy cut out as I wanted to do a background.
The background is faint, but not as faint as it appears in the picture. That is a morning shot with natural light for you!

For the background using Hammermill cardstock and my Gell press and brayer I rolled on some of the new Villanious Potion Distress Oxide ink to my Gell press creating a smooth surface.

I then added slightly more ink and placed my stencil on top, then sprayed the surface slightly with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water and placed the inked piece face down for the 2nd part of the design. It is so hard to capture this via my camera, but it looks so nice and does not overpower the card.
I made two of these prints, one slightly darker than the other. I used the darker print here on the front, and the lighter print inside the card.

For both background pieces I die cut using the Birch Press rectangle die, which I then attached to my white card base using foam tape and gluing the one for inside the card.
I then applied foam tape to the back of the Gnome, and attached to my card front. In my mini Misti I stamped the Love sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink.

On the inside I stamped the included sentiment "A love like GNOME other" along with the hearts that are included in the set.
Thank you for dropping by today. I hope you have enjoyed this Valentine card.
Above is the inside of the card followed by Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
