Hearts Day

It is almost Wednesday and that means it is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. I am hosting the challenge this week and have picked this video for the challenge.

Emma and her Mom work together and do 3 cards. I have done 2 cards for today, which I will show here.
My first card is the painting of the hearts. I have said this before, but a reminder, I do not draw. One of these days I will take classes! In any event, I did the best I could.

I wanted some to bleed and others I did not want any bleed. That was not hard to accomplish, my first two were dry before I got the chance to move on.
I used Daniel Smith and Schmincke watercolours. I framed my watercolour with a turquoise mat and die cut the love 3 times, 2 in the turquoise and 1 in white. The white is in the middle of the sentiment.

To finish this card I added a few sequins. Next up is my second card where I did the loose flowers in 4 different colours.

My colours are from the top Daniel Smith Pyrrol Scarlett, Opera Pink, Cadmium Yellow and Alizarin Crimson. Using red card I added matting on the left side of the panel, and die cut the sentiment 3 times, gluing together and attaching to the watercolour piece then attached to my white card base.

I added gems for a bit of sparkle, along with a Nuvo glimmer pen on the sentiment. Many thanks for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed these cards and that you will give watercolour a try, if you have not already.

Following are Affiliate links for the colours and products I used for these cards, at no extra expense to you. Thank you for your support.
