Scrap'n Stamp Wrap It Up Hop

Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp Wrap It Up Blog Hop.

The winner will be announced the weekend of December 18/19th and posted on the Scrap'n Stamp blog.
I have wanted to make this little clutch for a while now, and this hop is perfect for it.

For the clutch I followed the instructions found here, except I did not want the ribbon handle, so I omitted that part.
The patterned paper is by Lawn Fawn and I used Gina K Design card for my purse base.

The instructions call for a piece of two sided designer paper, which I do not have to match the paper I wanted to use for the outside of the purse, so I made mine using stencils, which you can see below.
I used the Poinsettia stencil for the outside of the card holder and the Snowflakes for the inside. For both sides I used Distress Oxide ink in Salvaged Patina.

Fortunately this colour matches the designer paper perfectly, as well as the cardstock, so it all worked out. Below is the picture showing the Gift Card side of the holder.
This centre piece is one piece folded at the top and secured in the folds at the bottom. It can get bulky so do not use 110lb card as I did, otherwise you will need access to a heavy duty stapler.

For the closure tab I added a piece of Velcro which secures the clutch when closed.
I hope you have enjoyed this project, and thank you for your visit. Following is the list of those participating in today's hop, with Deborah being up next.

Following are Affiliate links for the products that I have used for today's card, at no extra cost to you. I thank you for your support.
