Hey There

A little bit of sunshine for today's card.

I was playing around with distress inks yesterday and made a few backgrounds, of which this is one. Simple pouncing of Arches cold press watercolour paper into Kirsch Flamingo and Squeezed Lemonade, this was the first one I made.
I die cut the background piece once dry, then attached it to my white card base. I added the stencil work, using a stencil from A Colorful Life Design along with Ranger distress Crackle medium and allowed that to dry.

I then added the other bits from the stencil using yellow and red ink. It looks to be a different colour, and I am not sure about it, but there it is, with me secretly wishing I had done swirls!
For the butterfly I also stamped with yellow ink in my mini Misti, and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, before die cutting with the coordinating die. I used the left over inks on my desk to paint the butterfly and set it aside to dry.

In my original Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Glamourous. The sentiment is one line, but I split it into two lines for it to fit where I wanted it to be on my card.
I then styled and attached the butterfly using 2 layers of foam squares to give it depth.

To finish I added the yellow gems and did splatters using the pink, yellow and red inks along with white Gouache.
This was fun to make. I am still not quite there with the stencil colour addition, but I took a chance, and there it is. I have someone in mind to send this card to, and she is an Art friend, so it will work for her.
