Pastels and Butterflies

I hope you are having a wonderful day.

This card I have done for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com where we had a visit to shopbop.com.

My inspiration for this card came from this dress. I changed up the colours not using the orange.
For colouring I used Distress Oxide colours, which I note below.

Using my Life Changing Brushes I applied the inks using Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina and Rustic Wilderness along the left side.
To make the light green in the bottom right I first applied the Savaged Patina going over it with the Squeezed Lemonade. For the stencil work I went over the stencil with more ink leaving either the white shadows or colour, on the left side.

Using my calligraphy tip marker I did the large doodle black lines. I then splattered using Black watercolour and White Gouache.
I die cut the butterflies from Gina K Design black card and from 40lb white vellum. I did not want anything solid in behind the die cut butterflies as I liked the visual of the colours showing.

Once all the paint was dry I attached the butterflies using Lawn Fawn glue.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. The sentiment is from another stamp set by Pinkfresh Studios, shown in the links below.

Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed my take of the Inspiration piece. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used today for this card, at no extra cost to you.
