Impression Obsession June 2021 Release Celebration - Day 1

Welcome to the Impression Obsession June 2021 Release Celebration!

Each day (June 7th/8th) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog. We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession $25.00 gift certificates for the event, so the more you comment through our Release Celebration the more chances to win!

All comments for each of the event days will be open until Monday June 14th at midnight CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday June 15th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

The new stamps are available now! You can find them all HERE.

Back to my card for today.

For this card I am using the Bloom Balloon (G20942) and the Butterfly Balloon (G20943). I first did the watercolour background for my slimline card in blue watercolour using Arches cold press paper.

I then stamped 2 of the Bloom Balloon with Versamark embossing ink and gold embossing powder, then proceeded to watercolour the flowers and leaves.

I then stamped the Butterfly Balloon using the same, the Versamark and the gold embossing powder. Once heated I proceeded to give the butterflies a bit of watercolour.

I then fussy cut the 3 balloons to fit the background of my slimline card. One of the balloons was a tad too big, so I cut off the little bottom bit. Then I wondered if I should have done that!

To finish up I attached the watercolour blue background to my Ivory card base. I then glued in place the two floral balloons, and for the butterfly balloon I applied some foam squares to the back of the balloon, then attached.

I did not want to detract from the flowers, so I decided against any bling. I like the way the gold embossing adds that to the card.

Thank you for joining us today for Day 1 of the June Release. I will be back tomorrow for Day 2 and another new card.
