Birds and Bees

The Birds and Bees are back with you to say chirp!

An easy card to do with stencilling and watercolour. Of course Copics work perfectly as well. Which ever makes your birds sing.

First up is the stencil work which I did using A Colorful Life Design stencil with Twisted Citron Distress ink. I did not do the entire card front, instead just the centre portion for a background.

Using Arches Cold Press watercolour paper I stamped the boots using Ranger Archival ink in Jet Black and proceeded to watercolour with the predominate colour being the Pyrrol Scarlet. I used Neutral Tint and Lunar Black for the buckle. The balance of the colours I used are listed below.

Once I was finished with the watercolour I fussy cut the image out and styled the birds a bit to give movement. I added white gel pen to the dots on the boots.

I then stamped the two bees on the card front and coloured with Copic markers Y08 and B00.

To finish off my card I attached the boots using foam squares. In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using the Jet Black ink, then added a few sequins to finish.

Another fun card to share.

I thank you for your visit and I hope you enjoy this card.
