I am so excited to welcome you to the Impression Obsession May release, day 1.

If you have arrived here from Jeanne Streiff, you are in the right place. If not, head on over to the Impression Obsession Blog for the start of the hop. On each day you can find a list of the participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.

We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession $25. Gift Certificates for the event. So, the more you comment through our release celebration, the more chances to win! All comments for each day of the event will be open until Monday, May 10th at Midnight CT. The winners will be announced on the Impression Obsession blog on Tuesday, May 11th.

Now, back to the cards I made for today. My first card might be one of my favourite cards.

I used the new Small Campfire DIE1067, Stars Background Stamp L5756, pairing them with an older die, the Fir Trees DIE084-V. I also used part of a newer sentiment Coffee Under Stars C5752. I used the second part of the sentiment.

For the background I used distress oxide inks blending until I was happy with the look. I then dried the piece very well, then stamped and heat embossed the Stars Background stamp using white embossing powder. I then splattered the background with Midas Touch Shimmering Pen.

I die cut the trees using watercolour paper and used Daniel Smith watercolours to paint, as I did with the campfire also.

For my second card I was being a bit cheeky. I stamped the Chairs E21380, and coloured using Copic markers. I then did the watercolour background, some of it smooshing and a bit with my paint brush using Distress Oxide inks. I added in the grass with Copics and stamped the Park It B5747 sentiment, and die cut using a circle die, adding shading around the edges.

Both of these cards were great fun to make, and I hope you have enjoyed them as well.

Next up on the hop is Laura Fulcher.
