Sunshine and Flower Bouquet

This sweet little stamp is from Penny Black's latest release and is such a joy to watercolour. While I love larger images for their larger flower size, the smaller stamps, such as this are fun and easy as well.

As most of you know, I am on the Design Team for the Inspiration Challenges at Splitcoaststampers. It has and remains one of my favourite challenges to participate in and I have been doing so for many years.

Today we were given the name of a delightful shop called Sweet Lulu. I find the pinterest pages easier to navigate, so I visited it here. I perused the site and kept landing back on the Confetti Theme page where I picked this confetti, as shown above.

I first went rummaging for the designer circle paper that I have had in my stash for a couple of years and decided I would use a vellum overlay. So the card came together in my head before I started.

I stamped the image on Arches cold press watercolour paper using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and painted with my Roman Szmal watercolours for a change using Aquarius Yellow, Quinacridone Pink, Sap Green, French Ocre and Aquarius Red.

Once I was done the water colouring I ran the piece through my Scan 'n Cut, cutting it out.

Using Neenah 110lb card for my card base I attached the pink and white circle designer paper. I then cut the vellum, which is 40lb., and attached over the polka dot paper using vellum tape.

I then coloured some of the vellum paper with Copic markers and punched out to add more polka dots to my card in some fun colours.

I styled the bouquet using my stylist tool and attached it to the card using foam squares. I then glued on the punched out colourful confetti.

To finish up, in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using the VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.

I had such fun making this card. I hope you enjoy it as well, and thank you for your visit.
