The Christmas Wait

Seems someone cannot wait for Christmas.

I did this card a few days back but have waited to post it as I had to give it to someone first, being they see my posts, and yes, she is a dog owner.

And, she also loves green, hence all the green on this card with the hints of blue, which she also likes. I coloured the image using Copic markers.

My cardstock of choice when using Copic markers is Hammermill Premium card which is 100 lb. and blends like a dream, and what I used here.

She has black dogs which are hard to do I find, hence my dog is gray using Copic N02 and N04. I used the yellow and green Copics on the packages with some shading done on the top package. I used G14 and YG01 for the shading.

To shade around the image I used BG11 along with B0. B0 is the colorless blender and I went around the sides and top of the BG11 to blend the colours so there would not be any sudden stops of colour.

On the dark green package I used my Zig pen in Silver on the stars, which in real life gives some sparkle.

In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise. I then attached my piece to a blue mirror card base.

I very much enjoyed my time colouring this adorable image, which I hope you enjoy.
