Scrap'n Stamp Iconic Christmas Hop

Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp Iconic Christmas Hop, featuring dies from Concord & 9th of Iconic Christmas items.

The design team have been busy, as I have seen some sneak peeks. But, to settle out the business at hand before we proceed to the cards I made for the hop.

We ask that you comment on each of the design teams blog so we can throw your name in the hat, give it a good shuffle, and draw! You may be the lucky winner of a $50.00 gift card to the Scrap'n Stamp Store.
The winner will be announced before Christmas.

We also have a sale on the Iconic Christmas items, which can be found here.

Now we can move on to my cards.

I started with a stencil I have, which is called Buffalo Plaid. I liked that the stencil was a bit busy, but not over the top. I decided to use the stencil on an angle, and blended on Distress Inks in Barn Door. I also kept the square theme going with the cut white glitter cardstock to display my icons. They are attached to my card base using foam tape.

I used the Candy Cane, Christmas Tree and Stocking. I added some Ivy to the middle square which is also slightly off centre. Tucked under the first and third square is a snowflake which I cut in half, painted with Nuvo Shimmering Pen Midas Touch and tucked in under the square, glued in place.

I added some crystal drops to the tree, and I forgot to mention I went around the edges with my Kingart glitter markers in red. Also, the middle tile is on foam tape and the tree is propped up with foam squares.

It has been a very long time since I have done a card where I just used dies, so it was a nice change and fun to do.

On to my second card. I took pictures with my camera only to find that my computer is rejecting RAW images, which is how I shoot my pictures. So, I could not open the pictures. Then the SD slot failed and corrupted the the disk, so in the end I lost the pictures below and pictures of another card I did for another challenge.  It has not been a good day!

I again did stencil work for my background using a striped stencil and Distress Ink in Blueprint Sketch on a light blue card base. I skipped every third stripe and in its place drew a line using my Sakura Gelly Roll pens in blue. The sparkle is very pretty.

Moving on to my focal I cut a piece of white vellum and attached it to a piece of silver cardstock. I then die cut three of the large stars and coloured with my Kingart Glitter Markers in blue, and three of the smaller stars colouring them with the silver marker.

The panel is attached using foam tape and I glued the stars on with Nuvo Adhesive. The I realized I did not have a sentiment. So I went on the hunt for one and found this cute sentiment also from Concord and 9th, called Cozy Christmas, which I stamped using VersaFine Clair Ink in Blue Belle.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards today. Following after the hop list you will find my Affiliate Links, at no extra cost for you.

Next up on the hop is Susan. The complete list follows.
