Scrap'n Stamp Stamps Out Cancer hop

Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp Hop. This is a special hop for us here at Scrap'n Stamp as it came about from the journey of one of your Design Team Members, Nancy Elrick, and her battle with Colon Cancer. Nancy has shared her story in her post today, and she is second on the hop.

It has been decided that Scrap'n Stamp will donate 10% of the store proceeds from the sales of June 8th and 9th, to the Push For Your Tush fundraising walk for Colon Cancer Canada, which is a wonderful idea.

On to my card for today's hop. I wanted to use the ribbon colour for Colon Cancer in my design, picking the blue and aqua from my Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens. On a sheet of plastic wrap, that has slight folds I put down the colour from the pens and spritzed with a Shimmering Mist, then put my watercolour paper on top, and moved slightly to create movement on my piece. This technique is similar to what you would do when doing the Cling Wrap Background, except no crunching. I turned the piece over to face up and let it dry.

Once dry I die cut the piece using Penny Black's die called Stitched Stackers, where the edge design reminds me of ribbons. I added the glitter matting and attached the piece to a navy card base. I then die cut the flowers from the glitter card stock, did a bit of styling and attached to the card front using foam squares.

To finish off my card I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink, which I just love.

Thank you for joining me today for the hop, following is a list of the participants in today's hop. Up next is Ardyth.
