It has been a very long time since I have used this stamp from Rubbernecker, but fond memories came back while I was using it.
This is a layering stamp with two pieces. I first painted the flowers using Ken Oliver Color Burst in Crimson Red and Lemon Yellow, painting directly with the powders, which gives brilliant colour. I pulled the yellow away from the centre of the card creating the very light yellow. I then stamped the outline layer in black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Once dry I die cut the panel and added acrylic splatter using turquoise and black paint. I die cut another piece in the black, and also stamped the sentiment on black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I put everything together with the panels slightly angled. I do love the brilliant colours of the Poppies.
I have finally managed to play along in all three of the CAS challenges, submitting this card for the CAS April Watercolour Challenge.
