Misti makes Sparkle

Meet Sparkle.
This card I did for My Sweet Petunia.  I love my Misti, and use it every day, and not just for stamping. As you can see from this post, I used my Misti to make this background, using a stencil, ink and water. Water in your Misti - how could you? I am not about to mess up my Misti, so I use Saran wrap, aka cling wrap. The grid lines in the Misti help me keep my stencil and paper straight for this technique.
For the stencilling I used Tim Holtz Rays Stencil and Distress Inks Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry. The technique is called Stencil Monoprint and can be found under my Awesome Tutorials page.
For my flowers, I added Carved Pumpkin distress ink and I stamped and water coloured in my Misti, using the new Creative Corners to hold my paper in place, and I also rest my hand on the corners when painting so I don't mess up what I have done. Once I finished the water colouring I used do-Craft markers to add a bit of detail to the flowers, and Wink of Stella to the flower centres.
I attached the stencil to my card base and added a thin piece of glitter cardstock to the bottom as I did not want to see the stencil at the bottom of the row of flowers. I styled the flowers and added along the edge on foam dots.
It was after this was done that I decided on the sentiment I wanted to use, which is from Penny Black's Sprinkle and Smiles Stamp Set.
To finish my Sparkle card, I added sequins of varying colours and sizes.
I hope you enjoy this card and that you are able to visit the link I provided where I have a picture tutorial of my process.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog.
