From Me to You

Hello to you. This card is the sample I made for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers, where I asked the participants to focus on their background for this challenge.
If you follow my blog, you will have seen the masculine card I did using this technique, called Cling Wrap Background. I also have it listed in my Awesome Tutorials for ease of reference. This background is a bit different from the Bister background, but I love this look as well. I did several of these one night  before bed.
For this card I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks Wild Honey, a tad of Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber spritzed with Perfect Pearls and left overnight to dry. I always have perfect pearls on hand to use for these kind of projects. I use the small ranger spritzer bottle which I mix the powder and water in.
For the butterfly, I stamped and heat embossed using white embossing powder on Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper, then laid down more Tim Holtz Distress Inks, being Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade, and dragged my butterfly through it. With a paint brush I smoothed out some of the areas. Once dry, I styled my butterfly and attached using glossy accents to ensure I would not come off. As the die cuts of the antennae, I fussy cut them and reattached. I stamped the sentiment on the tag die and attached, then added a few sequins to finish. I hope you enjoy this card today. I certainly enjoyed making it. Thank you for visiting.
