Warms my Heart

Here with you today to share my sample card that I did for the Clean and Simple challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge is "Warm Up" such as hot beverages etc. I did have some digital stamps that would have worked for this challenge, but they were lost when my system went south, and I am not about to pay to replace them all. Alas, this is why they are called challenges! In any event, my card is representing a cup of warmth that was sitting on a table.  On Ranger watercolour paper for texture, I used a stencil for the background sponging Festive Berries on very lightly, moving the stencil along so I only had the small squares, for my tablecloth. I then used the another stencil to apply the glossy embossing paste, which I had tinted with Distress Reinkers.  I received a wonderful gift from a friend which was all about my love of "DavidsTea" (a Canadian Company) including 2 fabulous huge mugs and a pair of warm and comfy slippers ... so you see where I am going with this.   I did not have the perfect stamp, so my sentiment is computer generated and says perfectly what I wanted to say. I die cut the sentiment with my fishtail labels die and attached to my panel. I added the twine to the top and attached the panel to fun foam for some dimension, then added a few sequins to finish my card. Thanks for having a look today ...
