I don't think any of us like to do Sympathy cards, but life doesn't work that way. Longtime friends suddenly lost their son, which makes it even harder. They live in beautiful British Columbia, so I went with the birch tree stamp set I have from Altenew. Using my Misti, I arranged the tree trunk and stamped the base, then stamped the top panel. While still in my Misti, I masked the trunk, and stamped the branches, on both the base and the top panel as I did not decide where to cut the top panel until I had it out of my Misti, so best to have it all covered. I cut the top at 2.75 inches and put it back in my Misti to use the magnets to keep it in place while I stamped the leaves in fall colours. I then added the gray matting and stamped

Yes, sympathy cards are definitely one of the hardest, Kia, and it's especially hard for two reasons - this time of year and to lose a child. I know your friend will appreciate this beautiful card and your note inside. What a delicate and gentle card with this birch tree and the fall colors. And I love the three panels.! Hugs! xoxo
