Serene Bamboo

Today I would like to share with you this beautiful stamp called Bamboo and Bird Sumi-e from Art Neko. I wanted to do some watercolouring with this stamp, so I inked the stamp with ink and spritzed with water before stamping. With my aqua brush and a lighter shade of green I added more colour to the bamboo. I then added mustard seed along the right side and a few other spots in the bamboo, including the birds. Once dry I added some tumbled glass ink pulling it out with my aqua brush, and dried once again. I then outlined with my Zig Brush Cobalt Blue and pulled that out a bit with my aqua brush. I thought it would make a very pretty birthday card so I stamped my birthday sentiment and die cut with my stitched rectangular die. I am pleased with the results. Thanks for visiting today ...
