Christmas Tree

Meet "Christmas Tree".

This tree is by Trinity Stamps. Normally I would be hot foiling with this item, but I decided I would treat the die/tree differently by stamping with it instead.

To do this I inked up the tree die using Pinkfresh ink in Tidal Pond. I ensured the entire tree was heavily inked then keeping the tree facing down, I placed it over the white die cut of the tree.

I rubbed the back of the die for several minutes, ensuring the complete transfer of the details to the white cardstock.

I was careful in how I pickted the plate up to ensure I would not mess up the transfer. Happily, all went well. I secured the tree to a piece of Gina K Designs cardstock in Sea Glass using foam strips.

I then attached snowflake die cuts in gold to the tree using Art Glitter glue, along with crystal gems by Pinkfresh Studios in Pixie Dust. The top tree gem is held in a white snowflake.

I readily admit I am pleased with how this turned out, and most fortunate that the transfer was so easily accomplished.

I considered adding glitter gloss to the tree, then changed my mind as I doubt it would add anything to the look.

To the inside of my card I added another tree die which is by Scrapbook.com and was a freebie. It is such a cute die I think.

To finish I added the sentiment which is done using Pinkfresh Ink in Candy Apple. I know it does not look like the red, but it is.

Thank you for visiting with me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card.
