Watercolour Pinecone

 

This card of a Watercolour Pinecone I painted for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. It was very enjoyable to paint this.

I used Sap Green, Cadmium Red Deep, Burnt Sienna and Van Dyke Brown for colour.

For some of the Pinecone I used a very dark amount of the Van Dyke Brown, while for other parts of the Pinecone I used a mix of the Van Dyke and Burnt Sienna colours.

To connect the berries I painted the branches using Sepia.

This is my last piece of watercolour paper so I was lucky that the pinecone fit. I mounted the watercolour piece on Gina K Designs Applemint cardstock.
