Dancin' Gingerbread

Meet "Dancin' Gingerbread".

These two characters have had me giggling as I was making them. Everything about them is so darn cute and so hard to resist.

To start I die cut the pieces using Kraft cardstock, then followed up with die cutting all the white bits and pieces and preparing them to put together.

I started with the girl first - you might note her leg decoration is a "w" representing woman and the male has "m" which represents man.

Yes, their bottoms move, which also has me laughing - more cuteness! He looks like he is doing the twist and she is just rolling her eyes as she dances!

I moved the "fellow" to show that their bodies move to the rythme of the music and he is having a great time doing the "twist".

For the background I used Spellbinder's Argyle Plaid in 3D. I felt it allowed for the fancy outfits on the gingerbread people while still adding texture to the card.

I also cut a piece for the inside of my card gluing it to the bottom portion of the card with the sentiment attached just above it.

The sentiment is also by Spellbinders via the Betterpress and called "Christmas Sentiments". It has six (6) different sentiments included in the set which I really like.

To finish I added gems to my card front using snowflakes and clear gems from "Gems Galore".

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I do hope you enjoyed these "characters".

See you next time.
