Christmas Bird

This is "Christmas Bird".

This is such a pretty die set by Spellbinders. I very much enjoyed colouring and preparing the pieces for my card front. This is my card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.

The Poinsettia is done using Red Glitter card along with white cardstock coloured using R35 Copic marker. I glued the two pieces together and added the gold berries to the flower centre.

I then attached the Poinsettia to the card front and started to build out from there, first adding the gold die cuts, then adding the other pieces.

I added some dark green die cut pieces at the top of the design and added the bird who is resting a foot on the candy cane.

I added in other pieces of greenery such as the ivy leaves which are two different colours. As previously mentioned I attached most of the gold leaves atound this area.

Some of the pieces are attached using thin foam pieces while others are attached using thick foam pieces adding more dimension to the piece.

I also added in a few other leaves that are coloured in light green along with two coloured in darker green colours.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment which is from Paper Rose using Pinkfresh Ink in Candy Apple. I then added two of the leaf sets done in the gold card.

Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you have enjoyed this card and I appreciate your time.

See you next time.
