The Deep Blue Two

This is "The Deep Blue Two".

It is by Spellbinders, and is the "Small die of the Month". I think this is the last month that I am getting these particular dies, time to move on to something different.

There are several dies that come with this set, but I really wanted to use the corals for my card, so I designed around that.

I first added white paint splatters to the background, which I did last night which gives the paint the much needed time to dry.

For colour I used both watercolour and Copic markers, so I could get the colours I wanted to use. I painted one of the corals in a pinkish shade, and the other in the oranges.

I then added the fish and other sea grasses to create my scene.

There are different kinds of fish and grasses creating this scene. You may notice some of the fish are tucked in and under the coral pieces.

The colours I used are Quincaridone Coral, Pyrrol Orange, Sap Green and Spring Green by Daniel Smith. Copic colours are 100, Y08, Y19; R21, R22; YR09, YR18 and YR68.

I added the sentiment above to the inside of the card. It works for the fish having lots of friends too!

Thanks for taking a look today.

See you next time.
